Our Chef
Pere Malagelada was born in Figueres (Girona- Spain)
and after graduating from the Vilamalla Hotel School (Girona) worked
in different locations in Alt Empordà including the Casino de
Perelada or the Hotel Empordà (Michelin star). He then worked
in Barcelona in the prestigious Juan Carlos I Hotel before moving as
Executive Chef to Andorra to simultaneously manage the kitchens of four
hotels. At 30 years of age he has now returned to his origins, and to
the Meliá Golf Vichy Catalán, to serve up the most
creative cuisine, modern but true to its Mediterranean roots.
Named “Chef de l’Avenir 2005” by the International Academy of Cuisine, Dani Garcia supervises all of the cuisine on offer at the Meliá Golf Vichy Catalán from his Calima Restaurant in Marbella. Dani has taken care of even the tiniest details to ensure we delight even the most demanding taste buds.
