The front desk staff have lots of information on activities available in the region. Our staff can provide all of the details you need for a great day out enjoying a stroll around Girona, sailing around the coves of the Costa Brava or visiting the volcanoes in Ripollés.
The region of La Selva is well known for its water and is the most southerly of the regions in the Costa Brava. The contrast between the sea and freshwater gives rise to one of the best attractions in the region: the botanical gardens of Santa Clotilde in Lloret de Mar and the Marimurtra gardens in Blanes. The region also boasts two major tourism resorts on the coast, Lloret de Mar and Blanes, and beautiful villages such as Breda, Arbúcies and Sant Hilari Sacalm inland.
The Costa Brava coast was “discovered” at the beginning of the 20th century by writers and artists such as Picasso, Marc Chagall and Rusiñol, attracted by the warmth of the welcome, the wealth of traditions and, its main attraction, its stunning natural beauty.
Local scenery includes long beaches like Platja d’Aro, Roses or l’Estartit and smaller beaches and coves such as Begur or Calella de Palafrugell. Medieval villages like Peratallada, Peralada or Pals, the lake at Banyoles set in a mountainous valley, the Dalí Museum in Figueras...
The region of La Garrotxa is the greenest in this corner of Spain and is home to the exceptional La Garrotxa Volcanic Natural Park with its 30 craters and protected area of over 12,000 hectares. Land of myths and legends, la Garrotxa is a fascinating sight for fans of unique scenery and landscapes.
The main attraction of this land of contrast is the capital city, Girona. This small and harmonious city has more than two thousand years of history and has managed to conserve and respect the legacy of all of the different ages in history. In an ancient quarter proud of each and every one of the stones that form part of its medieval façades, the Jewish Quarter and Cathedral, a unique example of Gothic architecture, the wall that surrounds the city... everywhere you look there’s something special.
